Irresistable nut crescent cookies

Absolutely irresistable delicious cookies.

Ingredients:

- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sour milk (just leave fresh milk outside overnight and it’ll get sour)or buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup castor sugar

How to:

1. Slightly rost walnuts in a frying pan and let them cool. Then blend the nuts with 1/4 cup sugar.
2. In a bowl whip on low speed the butter and the remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Then increase the speed and whip it for another 5 minutes to get a fluffy mixture.
3. Lower again the speed and gradually add the flour, sour milk, vanilla, salt and the nut and sugar mixture. Mix all well.
4. Divide the dough into 2 parts, cover with plastic food wrap and put in the fridge for an hour or in the freezer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 320 degrees.
5. Take out the dough. With a spoon cut off a small piece and make crescents. Put the cookies on a slightly greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Let them cool on the rack for a couple of minutes.
6. Dip warm cookies in castor sugar. Put them back onto the rack to cool completely.
